HotWax Systems Participates in Gartner, Inc. Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce Vetting Process

According to Gartner, Inc. “Digital commerce has become a major part of the customer experience, one that involves a growing ecosystem of technologies, vendors and services.”

Here at HotWax Systems we couldn’t agree more. Since our inception in 1997, we’ve been intensely engaged in solving problems and pushing the limits of what is achievable, while simultaneously considering how we can best thrive within—and support—the digital commerce ecosystem.

This year we were excited to participate it the Gartner, Inc. Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce vetting process with the full realization that our company did not yet meet all of the requirements. It was a rigorous and challenging process. We learned what we must accomplish in order to better our chances of being included in the Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce in the future, and we gained appreciation and respect for the other companies that participated.

Although we were not included in the MQ itself this year, we were honored to have been acknowledged in the “Other Vendors to Consider” category of the MQ report. Gartner, Inc describes the category this way: “Several vendors in the digital commerce market provide innovative or unique technology for commerce platforms, but did not meet the revenue or technology requirements for inclusion in this year’s Magic Quadrant. Although these vendors do not appear in this Magic Quadrant, they provide digital commerce capabilities that may be worth considering.”

Let’s look at this point by point.

Innovative and unique technology for commerce platforms? Yes, that’s us. If you have an “unsolvable” technology problem, call us. We love a good challenge.

Worth considering? Absolutely!

In the words of one of our clients: “One year after implementing Apache OFBiz Accelerator, our sales are up more than 400%. That kind of growth simply wouldn’t have been possible without the right digital commerce/ERP system to support our operation. “Matt Dotson, COO, Skootz

It is also important to note that the Apache OFBiz Accelerator can be fully implemented in as few as 90 days, can virtually eliminate the need to replatform, and delivers worldclass ERP functionality at a disruptively low cost. We’re here to work with you and help you survive your own steep growth curve.

Participating in the MQ vetting process was a valuable experience. As a growing company, it was nice to receive what we believe to be independent validation that our years of focused work are in line with the future of the digital commerce marketplace.

We appreciate Gartner, Inc, for recognizing our value today. We view this as testament of our expanding future potential.
