Twelve members of Team HotWax banded together for an OFBiz Bug Crush on Saturday, March 21, 2015. Sixteen issues were closed/completed/fixed, bringing our 30-day total of resolved issues to 80! Many thanks to all who participated.

In the spirit of open source, a quick reminder that next month (April 13-16, 2015) Austin hosts #ApacheCon, the place for the open source community to learn about and collaborate on the technologies and projects driving the future of open source, big data and cloud computing. HotWax Systems will be there as a Silver Sponsor. Sneak Peek: “The State of OFBiz”

Apache OFBiz is an open source product for the automation of enterprise processes that includes framework components and business applications for ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems. Mr. Cappellato’s presentation will provide an introduction to OFBiz, its history and its community. It will also summarize the main areas of recent developments, where the project stands today and where it is going.

Mr. Cappellato is a member of the Apache Software Foundation and a committer and chairperson of the Project Management Committee (PMC) for the OFBiz Apache project, in which he has participated since 2003.
